When I think of this era, I inhale the scent of hot summer days, children laughing and drowning their feet as their street fire hydrants drain. I feel hip hop running through my veins, R& B slow jams guiding my hips, and the 27 inch RCA TV console, echoing the lyrics to THE FRESH PRINCE OF BEL AIR. Surrounded by every inner-city dance team, as they rally to meet at the local skating rink to compete in dance battle night. (Sigh) the 90’S, the main thing that clings to me the most is the FASHION!!! The era of the Timberland boot, Burton, FUBU, and Tommy Hilfiger clothing, Baggy jeans, Sean John logos, Naomi Campbell, Tyra Banks, Kate Moss, Versace, Milan Fashion Week, and COLORS! Bright colors, mixed match patterns served as fashion statements in the 90″s….. so what better way to honor the 90’s than to recreate it on our Fashion Street Blog!!!
